Wiltshire, in the southwest of England.
Tell us about your music/collaborations/style and more?
I was originally in a band called the Drum Club who toured with UnderWorld, Orbital, Eat Static, System 7, etc. Toured UK, Europe and Japan. I’ have played all festivals including Glastonbury. I later formed 3rd Stream, an all-girl hip-hop based production team, making beats and songs for singers and rappers. My collaborations include the Extremists, Roots Manuva, Ricky Rankin, Lotek, Huntkillbury Finn and My Nature. Releases include several singles on Roots Manuva’s label Trailblazers and Trixsta Records.
Style is pretty much down tempo beats while my influences include hip hop, funk, soul and film scores.
Influences are broad. I love Jurassic 5, Roots Manuva, Redman, Missy Elliot, Adam F, Cold Cut, Ninja tunes, Busta rhymes, etc.
How long have you been kitesurfing?
Three to four years, but if you added up the time, probably only 12 months!
What is your favourite thing about kitesurfing?
Everything! The buzz, the places it takes you and the people you meet. I also love the fact that there is always something new to learn.
Where is your home spot?
Portland, but I also ride in Poole.
